The next morning we received an email that someone from our kid’s classroom had tested positive to COVID-19. Furthermore, we did a bit of research and found out (https://thehill.com/changing-america/well-being/medical-advances/540354-surprising-new-covid-19-study-finds-virus/) that COVID-19 can in fact remain present in clothing for a certain amount of time. The fact that we were moving the laundry just two steps away from the ViraWarn Patriot made us conclude that what we had seen was, in fact, a real alert.
We were initially shocked and then glad that our bet and investment in this new technology had paid off. We were lucky that none of us at home tested positive for COVID-19. We contribute this to the ViraWarn alert – nearly 24 hours before a reported PCR positive test – which prompted us to act to improve the air quality in our home, hence reducing the risk of getting infected.
